Welcome to Weekends From London! I’m Lauren, I work in the City Monday to Friday and I use my weekends and annual leave to explore the UK and beyond.

I grew up in Scotland (and of course still love spending weekends there!) but I’ve lived in England for over 10 years.

I started Weekends From London as I love making the very best of weekends away – and my annual leave! – and think that there are so many amazing places to visit in just a weekend. It’s also a bit of a photo diary – anyone who knows me will tell you I’m a bit of a shutterbug, and I’m always taking photos

You can expect to find everything from the shepherds huts, through to boutique and luxury hotels on Weekends From London, as well as my guides to escaping the city and how I bring my travels home. Oh, and I love a picnic – they’re my favourite part of summer! There’s hopefully something for everyone on Weekends From London.
